Empowering wellness through expertise and compassion

Our Story

With over 30 combined years of experience in multiple settings, Youtherapy Wellness & Physical Rehab in Milford, CT provides one-on-one physical therapy and fitness programs delivered by physical therapists designed specifically for older adults managing chronic conditions and specialized populations. The current medical model of providing short-term PT/OT treatment, seeing patient progress, and then discharging them with a home exercise program, only to have the patient come back in a few months because they are not exercising effectively at home or in their community is very frustrating and ineffective.

Youtherapy Wellness & Physical Rehab, as a team of health care professionals can help you stay fit, active, and well! We are devoted to working to keep many older adults and individuals managing chronic conditions healthy and well long-term.

A combination of genuine, educational background and training, and clinical expertise, sets us apart and makes us a rehabilitation of choice.

Our Mission

Our mission is to bridge the gap between wellness and rehabilitation.

Our Team

Rey Abadilla

Rey Abadilla PT, CPT Owner, Physical Therapist, PWR!Moves Certified, Certified Personal Trainer

Rey graduated with a physical therapy degree from Our Lady of Fatima University in 2006. He opened Youtherapy Wellness & Physical Rehab with the goal of providing the most effective, evidence-based exercise programs and treatments for our aging adults.

He has taught in physical therapy education programs in the School of Physical Therapy before becoming a lecturer for NPTE and later started his own review class program. He is an experienced clinician with broad exposure to working with a variety of patient populations who have neurologic disorders in the rehab setting. He is passionate about helping people manage chronic conditions by making lifestyle changes to improve their well-being. He spent the majority of his time working with the senior population. Since working with the older adults, Rey realized that he can relate well to his older patients and enjoyed learning from the wisdom of his patients’ well-lived lives.

He, along with his wife, found their passion for working with this population and decided to dedicate their professional careers to them.

Rey is so excited to serve the Milford community and nearby areas and bring something unique to our community-a place that can accommodate older adults and people with decreased functional mobility to help them stay fit and healthy – Let’s bring back the youth in you!
